I want to give kudos, credit and an applause to our server Jacob yesterday. He elevated our evening yesterday with enthusiasm, etiquette, and professionalism. I want to give thanks to the chefs and staff for providing outstanding service. This is a birthday I will never forget, thank you. I highly recommend everyone to eat here. The food and service is above of the highest standards. Your tastebuds will taste the amount of passion, love and hard work they put into preparing your food. OMGAWD!!! My Wife and I are both native SoCal. So knowing about wonderful places in SoCal is what we do to brag to our NorCal folks. This has passed us by for so many years...and we didn't know about it. I take my Wife to work getting off on YL bl. I drive on Bastanchury to get home sometimes. I've been on St. College to get to the Sports venue. It was hidden from us. Fantastic restaurant with delicious food and excellent service! The restaurant has a tavern that opens at 4:30pm for happy hour, and all signature cocktails are discounted. Highly recommend the lemon drop and the old fashioned. Summit has its own twist, and the drinks are great! For dinner, highly recommend the prime rib. We ordered the castle cut to share (split plate) plus one appetizer and two sides. Please note the entree and the sides are quite big in portion. Our eyes were bigger than our stomach, and we didn’t finish any food. Took four boxes home and had a second meal the next day. All food plus taxes and tips came to be around $200. We got to have our dream wedding at our favorite restaurant! Everything was just perfect and convenient with the well planned package which included everything except ring literally, clear communication which required no planner, reasonable budget which included alcohol and amazing food, and professional staffs who all made it all happened. My wife I celebrated our anniversary at Summit House I couldn’t have made a better choice! The food service was top tier. I highly recommend the John Dory, has to be the best fish I’ve ever had without exaggeration. Kavi was our server and he was great, an example of what a server should be. Didn’t rush us on anything and checked in on us the right amount. The happy anniversary card signed by the whole staff was a nice detail. We will be coming back without a doubt!
Underwhelmed by the prime rib. As a Lawry's VIP, the bar is high. The primer was okay however not as flavorful or tender as I'm used to. The spinach was spectacular. Cream of corn pretty good. We had a fantastic strawberry salad. We loved the piano. The music was a nice touch. Overall we felt the food was far too expensive for what it was worth. Will be back for happy hour will not be back for dinner.
