We had six people in our party, but the amount of salad and other dishes they provided was barely enough for two. I didn’t even get a chance to try the salad. To make matters worse, the waiter accidentally spilled water all over my husband and son, who were dressed in new suits, and there was no apology at all.
Overall, the food was tasteless, which is probably why they offer spicy sauce on the side. The service was terrible, and I'm really disappointed that I can't say anything positive about this place, especially since it was for my son’s graduation. This place was so so busy on a weekend. I wonder if it normally is this jam packed on a weekday as well. I'm curious. Went since my friend highly recommended this place. She took us there too raving about it. Now, I'm glad that I went. Everything from the service to the food was good. Just the bathroom was a bit gross. We ordered a whole array of food. I must say that the meat we ate was so tender and the way it was marinated was yummy too. It was their house special beef. It was a bit on the pricey side, but the amount of side dishes given and the service made up for it. We did get other things, but it wasn't as memorable.
The LA galbi was delicious, and the Yookgyejang had a very authentic flavor. I forgot to take a picture of the naengmyun, but I really enjoyed the broth. I've been to many Korean restaurants in Queens and NJ, and this place stands out as one of the most authentic and tasty. The staff is incredibly kind and never rushes you to finish your meal. I also loved their side dishes. You won't regret dining here! The prices are a bit higher than your average casual restaurant, but it's worth it.
The first time that EVER authentic Korean, very friendly and patient staff explained everything I needed to know and made our food experience a pleasant one. I know now what to order and what not to order! A party of 5, we all ordered something else and we were satisfied

Very happy we gave Sung Book Dong another chance. The food is delicious. The 2 women working the entire place were so hard working and helpful. The amount of ban Chan they give you is incredible. They also updated their vent hoods. We highly recommend.
Excellent service every time! We are always greeted warmly. Every visit makes us want to come back, and the food is absolutely crave-worthy. You must try two dishes for the KBBQ experience!
They have a combo menu perfect for solo diners like me! Haha! The tofu sundubu and the pork BBQ are absolutely amazing!!! And don't forget the Japchae—it was a huge portion too!
You should only visit this place if you're prepared for an unforgettable experience. It's truly a hotspot for those who appreciate the extraordinary.
