"The place is "okay", nothing more, nothing less. We ate something there, which wasn't memorable, we drank something, which wasn't extraordinary. The staff is friendly but not going out of their way for you."

Menu complete (25€), had the Cocotte de Foie Gras and Maigret de Canard. Both irréprochable. A stunning reversal of the routine 'small portions-big effort' thst characterises many well-endowed restaurants, the portion of duck was conspicuous by its size. Especially enjoyed the Foie Gras.Less impressed by the Tiramisu which was deprived of Marsala wine, Savoiardi biscuit, or any chocolate content. Yes, Mascarpone. Apricots were delicious but overall, not really a Tiramisu. A nice désert. Just not quite according to the definition. Service was exceptionally rapid and attentive. This is a gem of a restaurant. Worthwhile making a détour before returning to the real point of any trip to St. Guilhem-le-desert.

We had pounded the cobblestone pathways of St.Guilhem-Le-Desert enjoying the ancient doorways and hidden gardens of this delightful village. Now all we needed was a passable wine and a decent meal. This little restaurant half in a cave is real find. Don't be in a hurry as it is only the young wife of the chef trying to serve perhaps 20 customers. The food was excellent and my wife particularly enjoyed her Coquilles St Jacques. We would return even without the charms of the village.

We have left terraces to tourists and enjoyed a fine meal with a traditional homemade cuisine in an fancy medieval vaulted room for a totally affordable price. Service was both cordial and careful and we've noticed that children were welcomed with adapted courses that didn't deny the standard of the house and could give them the taste of quality food. Therefore we can say that pilgrims of life's pleasures have their gathering place.

We had a great lunch today , with exceptional starters and mains , beautifully cooked and presented. It was such a surprise to find such great cooking and service in a tourist site like this . Highly recommended .
