I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation and I am so glad I did. The seafood scallops and calamari were of great quality and absolutely delicious. The chips were crispy and seasoned perfectly with chicken salt. The burger was also perfect, with bread buns that were not too thick, allowing the fillings to shine. It was a nostalgic experience reminiscent of fish and chips from my youth. The shop was clean and fresh, with attentive staff who made us feel welcome. There is counter seating inside, but we chose to sit outside and enjoy our meal in a relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be returning, especially on movie nights at Balwyn cinemas for a high-quality dinner before the show.
Really friendly owners. Apparently the place recently switched to new management and it seems like they know what they are doing! The fish flakes were crispy, juicy and tender and were the highlight of the duo pack which also consisted of potato cakes, dim sims and chips. Would have liked to try more bite sized snacks such as calamari rings or chiko rolls but there was enough food for the two of us so we didn’t want to order too much. On the whole it’s definitely worth a visit and I would surely come back again. Had a lovely time eating in-store as the owners were so warm and welcoming.
In short, this is the best fish and chip shop in the world! I absolutely love the food and the service is top-notch. If you're looking for good fish and chips, look elsewhere... but if you want absolutely amazing fish and chips, then this is the place to go!
The service here is fantastic, the staff always make our visits on Thursday nights with my 2-year-old daughter a fun experience. They provide music, TV, and a bucket of candy for her to choose from. And to top it off, the food is also excellent!
