Typically, I have a good experience with the food and service here, but this time the mistake was significant enough that I felt compelled to share my thoughts. I picked up a variety of sushi, and when we got home, I discovered that there was no wasabi or ginger included. To me, that's like forgetting to put rice in the rolls. Furthermore, when we started eating, all of the rolls were so loosely constructed that they fell apart on the plate and in the chopsticks. Considering the almost hour-long wait for pickup and the availability of numerous other excellent options nearby, I'm done with Sushi Nami. Hello, Otoro!
The food is very well prepared and presented. The menu is extensive with plenty of fish (sushi/sashimi), chicken and vegetable options. This is our second time here for dinner and everything went well except that our server appeared to be the only server and table cleaner for the entire restaurant. He worked hard to serve us and respond to questions and additional requests but I would suggest the restaurant owners should invest in at least one more server. Overall, a great spot and we will be back.
Sushi Nami has fresh sushi, made to order that is delicious and reasonably priced. If the family wants an outing then we go eat in the restaurant and BYOB! The Hand Rolls and Chef's Special Rolls are always the highlight of the evening. We also regularly order party trays, #2 is our favorite, to either eat at home w/ company or to take to friends. Sushi Nami is a family favorite...give it a try and I'm sure you will enjoy!
I recently returned to the area after being away for about six years, and I'm so happy to see that this restaurant is still thriving! The food was excellent, and the new location is just down the street from their previous one. The service was friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable. The menu offers a wide variety of options. I had one of the worst sushi experiences I've ever had. The tuna and salmon used were definitely not sushi quality. I couldn't finish any of the three rolls I ordered as my stomach turned almost instantly. The fish was fatty and chewy, and had an overpowering fishy smell. There are definitely much better options nearby! Food rating: 1/5.
Stopped in to pick up lunch between meetings today. Was told it could take approx. 10-15 min to prepare a sushi order on the spot, which was great. It ended up taking less than five min for my super fresh spicy tuna roll and crisp house salad, and I was on my way. The staff was super friendly and quick, and the restaurant was very clean.
