I am not one to make reviews but I would like to help out others. Not once, not twice, but THREE times, they mess up my order. Not only did they mess up but the quality of the food is so sub par to Sakura (the other place in town). This go around they gave us 2 small packs a soyasauce for a dynamite roll, rice, and 8 piece nigiri. On top of that the rice to crab portion in the roll is always absurdly bad. The portion is VERY small. $4 miso soup and you get about 1/2 cups worth. No. Chopsticks or utensils but luckily we are at home. Never have we gotten sauce on a dynamite roll anywhere but they put some on theirs and don’t say that in the description. This was the 3rd time in a row our order...
We discovered this restaurant while stopping for the night in Cranbrook, just a short walk from Motel 8. After a long drive from Penticton and feeling quite hungry and tired—having only had a light brunch in Osoyoos—I was craving sashimi. I always prefer sashimi in BC, as the cuts are thicker compared to those in Alberta or Manitoba. The waitress was very friendly! Like many sushi restaurants in Canada, I suspect the owner is Korean based on the menu offerings. We ordered a spicy sashimi salad and a sashimi sushi box, both of which exceeded our expectations and were well worth the price.
The restaurant was spotless, and the food was incredible! I tried the Crazy California roll, which was served hot and absolutely delicious. The prices were reasonable, and the deep-fried gyoza were also very tasty. I highly recommend it—10/10! Service was great, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. For dinner, I spent about CA$1–10 per person. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.
