Definitely hidden gem, food quality is amazingly over the price tag (considering the fact that it's Sydney). Authentic Japanese flavours, sushi is well made, you can tell by the look of them, it's not like those ones made by non-Japanese. Way better than the Bar Fresko upstairs. Will definitely come back and try more options, e.g. cold soba noodle, poke bowl and ramen variations. If the quality of rice can be better, I'd say this restaurant serves better Bento than Yayoi, ramen is not as good but still above average.

more modest suburb sushi shop. in sydney there are thousands that are so. udon tempura prawnsx2 for $11 tastes just like it was made from bottle the broth concentrate with defrosted udon nuddies. not that it is necessarily a bad thing, except that the noodles were hard, very chew and probably undercooked. not pleasant and certainly nothing special, but at least the staff was very polite and friendly.

Monday lunchtime and the food was fantastic and fresh . Came back on Thursday again and it wasn’t the same, rice was dry as it had sat in the fridge. Soup and chicken were still beautiful. Definitely recommend the dishes they cook fresh. Will be back.

Sushi reels are always reliable and cheap. that said they are nothing special. just like the Tempura-Udon- it lacks taste and the tempura garnels were immediately soggy. a good Japanese place on the north bank, but it has much to improve.
