We arrived without reservation with a group of 7 people and got seated in less than 7 mins, even though the restaurant was packed. We got lucky!Our servers and other staff are friendly and provide excellent service! The food took around 20 mins to be served, and when it came out, it kept coming, and the food was good but not excellent, not WOW. We enjoyed it 4/5.They have indoor seating and sushi bars or tremendous outdoor dining! The music was a bit loud if you sat in front of the restaurant door. We arrived with a group of six on a Saturday night without a reservation and were seated right away. I highly recommend asking for Brandy as your server; she delivers service with grace and honesty! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner, and when we left, one of our teenagers accidentally left their purse behind. We didn’t realize it until the next morning, but after reaching out to the restaurant, they were incredibly kind and informed us that the purse was in their lost and found. This place is a must-visit! It's not often you find excellent food, great service, and honesty all in one spot. I highly recommend it!
David was our chef, and he was both fun and talented—he might even join you for a round of sake shots! Our waitress, Brandy, was equally wonderful—she was friendly and engaging. The decor has a rock and roll vibe, and there are plenty of covered seats outside, making it great for people-watching on the strip.

I came here for lunch one day so it wasn't busy. I liked the atmosphere. Lots of outdoor seating for enjoying the weather and people watching. Our waitress was great. She recommended the Miso Cod which was so soft it melted in your mouth. The Miso Soup was also good and the shrimp tempura roll was decent. Will be coming back here.Food: 4/5

Great sushi, easily manageable bite sizes. Highly recommend, I had the rainbow and dragon rolls and some shu mai. The California roll is imitation crab stick, NOT crab salad (which is great because I do not like Mayo in my sushi! )Food: 5/5
Sushiya On Sunset is one of the last great sushi spots left in Southern California that cares about the freshness of the food. Always large plates, hot girls serving your food. I will never forget this place.
I spotted many celebrities while relaxing on the patio, so if that's something you enjoy, this place is definitely worth a visit! The mojito was fantastic, and I absolutely loved the crispy rice!
The food here was just amazing! Especially the one with prawns on top. Would definitely recommend. It's probably best to sit outside though as the inside isn't as clean.
