Japan has a restaurant that serves Tonkatsu (Pork cutlet, and the meat in it is more than one inch thick! So yummy! Tonkatsu is not served in non-authentic Japanese restaurants, so when I arrived in Brossard, one of the first things I did was to...make a Google Search with Tonkatsu Brossard and Bingo! Sushi Yasu appeared in the results and it's close to where I live so said to myself that I got to try their tonkatsu. It's on the thin side but tasty. (a little tip for finding any type of authentic restaurant is to search for a rare dish). I go to that restaurant almost every week. Anything they serve is tasty. I ordered sushi to go from this restaurant, and it was just okay. The service from the waitresses (who seemed to be the owners) was very poor. They appeared very stressed and were not attentive, speaking to us while also doing other things. We felt like they were not interested in us, especially because we only ordered sushi.

Had the combo pcs with mitso soup and salted beans appetizer. Accompanied with a small hot vile of sake made the deal with a kettle of tea to sip along. For some pointers make a reservation because it fills up fast and you might...weight a bit! Don’t take that chance.

We absolutely love this traditional, family-owned Japanese restaurant! The food quality is consistently great and the atmosphere is friendly. They offer a wide selection of dishes at reasonable prices. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience.
