Ordered take out last evening. Last time ordered Swiss Chalet was from Bracebridge while visiting friends and the portions were small and not very tasty. One quarter chicken piece looked the size of a large wing. A very disappointing meal. Remembering that experience was hesitant but thought we?d give it a try. Went into building to order. The gentleman taking order was pleasant and i believe a manager. I ordered the white meat quarter chicken meal and a rib/ chicken meal. The portion size was excellent, chicken breasts were a nice size and cooked well. Ribs were great. Both orders had plenty of fries. We arrived late after a long drive from the cottage, feeling tired and just looking for a meal and a moment to relax. We got in line behind a large extended family of 12 or more and initially felt concerned about the wait. There was a sign indicating that they were short-staffed and asking for patience. Despite this, the staff were outstanding! They remained calm and collected, even with so many orders to handle. The team was efficient and friendly, and our order arrived quickly, piping hot, and just as we had requested. Great job!
After leaving the cottage, we were feeling tired and simply wanted a meal and a chance to relax. As we were rowing behind a large extended family of 12 or more, we couldn't help but think, "Oh no." Additionally, there was a sign advising customers to be patient due to the high volume of orders. However, the staff was fantastic! They stayed calm and organized despite the overwhelming amount of orders. They were both efficient and friendly. Our meal arrived quickly, hot, and well-prepared. Great job!
I don't plan on going back to Schwebechalet. The manager's behavior was unacceptable, and the outdoor terrace felt unwelcoming and was overrun by wasps. I also observed other customers struggling with their orders. It shouldn’t be this difficult for guests to find a place to sit. Additionally, I’m not interested in filling out a survey. Completing one won't fix the underlying problems. I believe it’s essential for management to recognize their poor service and take the necessary steps to improve. Réservez une table maintenant
Best Swiss Chalet I've had in a very long time. After being let down by a couple locations in Toronto with poor quality cold food, I'd sworn to never go back. However, the experience in Gravenhurst was a completely different story! Food was hot, everything was delicious and our order was accurate. The folks behind the counter knew what they were doing. We'll definitely return to this location
Tonight I placed an order for my son and his family who are ill. I live in Niagara Falls and wanted to help them out by sending food. Unfortunately at the last minute, there was an issue with the driver.(hope he’s ok)Anyways I made arrangements for my son to pick it up without contact.The manager was amazing and handled this last minute issue very well.Thank you so much !
This Gravenhurst location has made notable improvements since my last visit. We ordered three quarter chicken dinners for takeout, and they were outstanding. The chicken portions were generous and cooked perfectly. I'm very pleased to see that they continue to maintain the high quality standards that Swiss Chalet has built over the years.
