Wait the minute....how did I miss writing a review for one of my favorite boba tea spot in Elk Grove???I've been to Tea Elk Grove more than I can count. The location is great (for me , easy parking and near my frequently visited places. They also have an app that makes ordering/pick up a breeze. Even if you don't order in advance, their service is quick!Here are my my favs:Hey Sesame It's a blended drink that taste like dessert. If you like black sesame, this is your drink. I went in today and ordered two drinks. When I was ordering the screen said made with non diary creamer. So I went and asked the lady working the front if it meant it was completely dairy free and has no dairy derivatives. I explained that I am allergic to dairy and I needed to be completely dairy free. She assured me that it was completely dairy free so I went ahead and ordered. Half way through my drink I had an allergic reaction. I am beyond angry. It is unacceptable in this day and age for workers to make such egregious mistakes or claims.Dietary restrictions: They need to learn more about dietary restrictions. It is not okay.

Don't get me wrong, the drinks here are a definite 5 stars. However, what's keeping me from rating this place any more than 3 is their recent change where they do not accept cash anymore. I very much prefer the convenience of handing over some cash that I already have on me, opposed to having to use the money I've put aside for other uses in my bank account. If anyone who works here reads this review, please bring back the cash register and let me give ya'll a 10 dollar bill for my drink, and not waste my time taking a trip to the bank.

This had the highest rating, 4.7*, among the listed milk tea in the vicinity on our way back from Reno. Therefore, we gave it a try and hoped for the best.Got the usual jasmine milk tea w/boba, 25/30% sweet, 4*, and the assam milk tea w/boba 25/30% sweet, 4*. Tea was present but lacked the aromatic and floral taste. Boba were tad on the chewy side. 4* at most for the 2 drinks we tried.

What I got (the ube Vietnamese coffee with coffee jelly) was reeeally good. But my nephews' drinks (Oreo something and Okinawan milk tea) weren't very good. But mine was DELICIOUS ?

I like their bobas but i ordered the matcha oreo tornado and it did not come with oreos. I needed to pay extra… Might as well just called it matcha tornado

Nice tea and drink shop! My favorites are matchatcha and hey sesame. The boba is also good. Customer service is always great, and the staff is friendly.
