The food was not bad overall, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. The steak tacos were okay, but the ground beef tasted more like sloppy joes. On the positive side, the plantains were delicious.One aspect that disappointed me was the price. The tacos were quite expensive, at $5 each. Considering the quality and portion size, I found it to be overpriced.The main reason I'm giving taco vida a 4-star rating is because of the staff. The employees were exceptionally friendly and nice throughout my visit. The inside space is a bit limited, but there is outdoor seating, which will be comfortable until the weather gets colder. As for the prices, they start at around $5, which feels somewhat on the high side. I understand that prices have been increasing, but there are still better taco spots in the northern suburbs where prices begin at $3 or $4.

Some of the best authentic tacos Ive had anywhere, including Mexico City! Homemade tortillas, the tacos are STUFFED with delicious meat, and they have some of the best al pastor of all time and they always ensure every taco is covered in pineapple, which is perfect! Highly recommend this place!

I usually avoid Mexican food in the Midwest, but this restaurant actually turned out to be quite good. The tortillas and salsa were both tasty. However, the space is quite small, and it felt a bit cramped for our group. I'd definitely consider returning. Food: 4/5

No picture of the food because it was so good I literally swallowed it. The tacos here are simply excellent with outstanding flavors. The place is small so if you are planning to eat on site be ready for a wait. But yep the wait is totally worth it.

Terrific menu and food that I am still exploring after several visits. I never leave hungry! Staff are quite friendly and take care to be certain you are satisfied with your order, have adequate utensils, etc. Highly recommended.
