I don't understand the excitement surrounding this place. I ordered two chicken tamales, but they were tough and dry. I tried one and ended up throwing the rest away. I also got a taco plate with four street tacos, one of which was lamb. Honestly, the flavor of the meat in the tacos was very underwhelming. I've had plenty of Mexican food, especially coming from Los Angeles, and I'm used to vibrant, well-seasoned dishes! The rice and refried beans were not good either. The only redeeming aspect was the small guacamole I ordered. Overall, I ended up discarding most of my meal, which feels like a waste of $18!
Ordered carne asada taco meal and French fries. Nothing about this place was good and I’m so confused as to what people are eating versus what I received. It was a bland taco that lacked any depth of flavor, where the only taste was the plain, unseasoned meat. It felt like the taco was missing the usual spices and ingredients that make a taco flavorful, leaving it tasting uninteresting. I asked for crispy fries, and they were soggy and cold. I stick to certain foods and as an out of towner who loves tacos, I was sorely disappointed.
This restaurant is bustling during lunchtime, and it's easy to see why. If you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the spot to visit. They offer a fantastic lunch menu, and their tacos are outstanding. There's also a salsa bar with a variety of toppings available at no extra charge. Finding a seat can be challenging during peak lunch hours. It's a local favorite and often goes unnoticed by many. I highly recommend it for lunch!
