Caitlin was nothing less than amazing! I called a Thursday to have made a cake for my wife's birthday and delivered him to a Monday and I had no idea where to start. I knew I needed a cake DAIRY FREE, gluten FREE and NUT FREE. On the first call she could go and lead me through her website and help me choose the perfect cake. She could also make Lemon bars that were DAIRY FREE, gluten FREE and NUT FREE! Well, Saturday morning, things became interesting as I received a note that the road we live on Monday day of delivery CLOSED!!! ... Cakes by Grace saved the wedding day for us on 12/21/21. Our original baker never made the wedding cake and we did not know this until 3 hours before the wedding when we went to pick up the cake. We found Cakes by Grace on the internet and called and asked if they could help us. We had a picture of the original cake and they did an awesome job replicating our cake. We also needed 48 cupcakes and a few gluten free ones. Guess what... They had those for us as well. Caitlin Thomson, Executive Baker was a lifesaver that day. Our experience with Cakes by Grace was exceptional. I was hoping for a marvelous cake and I must say CBG hit a home run. We were celebrating my daughters 30th bday. We ordered the Swedish Princess cake. It was delicious and beautiful. I asked CBG to deliver cake to my daughters home. Early afternoon we realized we would not be home. I called CBG and she hand delivered to the restaurant. When the birthday girl saw the cake she said it was the most beautiful cake she has ever seen. It looked like lavender Mable with all shades of purple with gold veins. Purple is my girls favorite color. Thank you Cakes by Grace (CBG) you made our day
I can not say enough good things about our wedding cake from Cakes by Grace. Caitlin, the head baker is talented! Being that I am gluten free, I am used to having limited cake options, not at Cakes by Grace, it felt like she could make anything safe for me to enjoy. At our wedding several people who are not gluten free grabbed a piece of the gluten free cake, and had no clue (it is that good! We enjoyed Caitlin and her delicious treats so much that we stop by the shop every visit to Tahoe to say hi and get something sweet for our trip.

I was visiting the area and wanted to get a cake for my wife and best friend, who share a birthday. I called Cakes by Grace on Wednesday and easily placed an order for Friday, since we were in town. We chose a strawberry and buttercream cake, and it was both delicious and refreshing despite the humid weather. I only wish I could have taken home another layer!
I walked in to check this shop for my daughter's birthday! Even though I did not make a call to order in advance they still accommodate me on that day. The chocolate cake is so delicious that my 2 year old daughter can't stop eating while we are having a photoshoot. Next time we go back to SLT will make an advance order here.
I don't have enough words to explain how much we love cakes by grace. Caitlin makes the most delicious treats! And I am gluten free. We stop by every time we are in Tahoe, and our wedding cake was equally as beautiful as it was delicious. Do yourself a favor and get some goodies when you are in South Lake.
I was in Tahoe last month celebrating a birthday and Tahoe Cakes By Grace helped us with a princess cake. The team was very responsive and helpful with my request and made the process incredibly easy. Not to mention the cake was delicious! Highly recommend.
