Came here in a party of 3 for lunch. We really enjoyed the delicious food and complimentary chai. Service was a bit lacking but our whole experience was good. Service was ok but I feel this was the one downfall of our meal. The waitress was not very warm, she didn't greet us or start the dining experience with a hello and welcome. She was also timid which made us feel a bit uncomfortable for her. They were very attentive to our table but shy and standoff ish. Food was amazing! My dining partner and I started with the vegetable pakora before enjoying the lamb curry and chicken biryani. The portions were quite large, enough to feed four people even though there were only two of us. The pakora was a highlight—crispy and well-seasoned. Both the biryani and lamb curry were delicious as well. We arrived at 5 pm, which made for a calm and quiet meal since the restaurant was not busy.
The chef at the downtown San Francisco Campton Place Hotel location has an impressive background in Indian cuisine. However, this quality doesn’t seem to extend to the East Bay branch. The food and drinks were average, and the overall experience was unremarkable. While the prices were fair, the meal didn’t leave a lasting impression.
As someone who got to experience Japanese and Indian curry and na'ans in Okinawa, and loved both, this place meets that high bar. Easy 5 stars. Naans come in set of 4 so don't make my mistake and end up with 16 naans Recommendation: Butter chickencurry Garlic Naan Onion Masala Naan

First time here and it’s such a great hidden gem for their service and very delicious Indian food . Ck Tikka Masala with Butter Naan and Mango Lassi is a must try!! I can’t wait to go back ????

Very attentive waitress. And the meals were so well prepared, the flavoring on each dish was succulent! Will definitely come here with my family!
Delicious food, lovely quiet atmosphere to eat in while chatting with friends. No pressure to leave when we continued chatting after our meal.
