It is somewhat tricky to find a place that serves Indian cuisine without compromising on the authenticity of the recipes. I understand how some places have to 'adjust ' the taste of their dishes according to local palates, and I certainly don 't blame them for ensuring a steady business. But that usually renders the curries too sweet and they taste nothing like the fare back home in India. Tandoor and Curry House surprises you pleasantly in this aspect. The flavors are original and traditional in every sense, no funny fusion going on here. Yet the locals seem to love it. Best Indian food in Hobart, exceptional service and always a pleasant experience. My favourite restaurant by far, went last night for my Birthday and it was busy (as it always has been the half dozen times I have eaten here) yet food is always brought out within 10-15 minutes. Love it.
