Taqueria El Corazon

We love the Kaslo Hotel's deck facing the lake, but their kitchen was closed that day. Checking out the alternatives, we thought this place looked the best bet. Wow! It's fantastic. The owner has apparently been serving out of the kitchen door for a few years now, but they recently opened up a nice room and installed a roofed patio outside. The patio was a great place to sit on a hot afternoon: shade and a strong breeze kept us comfortable. And it has a view of the lake at the end of the street. The food was excellent and authentic. Discovered this gem of a place June 3rd and changed travel route to make it back 3 times. Open Thursday through Sunday, the family needs Monday to Wednesday to take the organic ingredients and mixed with Love, provide the most authentic, amazing Mexican street food. Location at the end of the road coming in to Kaslo with a deck adjacent to the Lake makes this all the more appealing. Having tried all Mexican places in the Nelson area, I consider this one the best and worth the drive. SALUD:-)

Betty and her team catered my wedding a couple of weeks ago and the food/service was amazing!!! The tacos weren't only delicious but every one of my guests found something they loved (Betty had great vegetarian and gluten free options).Would reccomend to anyone and everyone. Thanks Betty!

Had a great trip to Kaslo area & part of the fun was El Corazon. We were out past 11PM and low & behold El C was open for business.Not just the bar but the kitchen too. Good conversation, good environment, good food & nice wine selection. Réservez une table maintenant

The owners have really built a fantastic new restaurant in Kaslo! The atmosphere is beautiful, the food is delicious and reasonably priced, and best of all - they have a great patio! Keep it up!

This is a very authentic Mexican restaurant,with amazing appies and main meals.The outside eating area is very popular and a great place to meet friends.I would highly recommend this rest.

Great food--kind of like tapas. Nice bar with great selection of designer tequilas. Tacos small but delish.
