Lunch catch up with siblings is always great and someone suggested we catch up here at one of Taro's ramen venues. This place is deceptive when looking from the outside but once you open the door and enter you find ourselve looking at the high ceilings. The space feels and look big, like nothing you expect from a ramen house.<br/ <br/ There is ample seating, so we are headed towards a booth and take our seats. The table was still a little dirty from the previous sitting, but wasnt that bad that we didnt notice. I visited Taro's Ramen in South Brisbane as a walk-in customer at around 1pm last Sunday. I've dined here regularly for several years; their tonkotsu ramen is one of the best in Brisbane, the food quality is consistently good, the staff are always lovely, and the ambience is very nice. br/ br/ The only gripe I had with my last visit was that it took 40 minutes for our food to be served. Rainy Brisbane weather calls for some soup. We were on the hunt for pho but ended up with ramen. We’ve heard great things about Taro’s so decided to give it a go this time. Menu is limited and kept simple, which is how I like it best.<br/ <br/ We ordered the shoyu ramen, simple in taste but rich in flavours! We ordered a large bowl with extra noodles, which took our one ramen order up to $20. Love love love! Tried the October special Jiro ramen. The soup is not super salty that’s so good as most of ramen soup I tried are way too salty. The flavour of pork belly is the perfect combination of sweetness and saltiness and it just melts in my mouth. And the small salad is tasty as well. Ramen is the perfect comfort food on cold days. I had never been to this restaurant before, but I knew I was in for a treat. The Wagyu Tataki was delicious - rare roast beef slices with ponzu, olive oil, wasabi, and micro herbs. It was a great appetizer to start our meal.

I check the pictures on zomato and look forward to the noodle with scallop but it turns out they don’t have it for quite a while. A little bit disappointed but the noodle is good. Réservez une table maintenant

Yum!! Love added options to allow you choice alter your ramen I.e less salt in the broth friendly service and really good value for soul warming ramen.
