I have always enjoyed eating at this restaurant, however, today was the worst experience I 've ever encountered. I had my dish sent back to the chef because the beef was overcooked and tough to chew swallow. The chef 's wife made an appoint to meet me and states that she and her husband, the chef, tried the beef, and nothing 's was wrong with it; she eats it everyday, etc. After making her point, offers to change the dish to a new entree. Minutes later, returns, half tossing the dish to the table and looks my best friend who accompanied me, rather than me, stating, Here you go . I was completely baffled. I ordered the plain schnitzel accompanied by German potato salad, and I added a side of red cabbage. My wife chose the schnitzel with pepper gravy and bread dumplings, while the kids had schnitzel with fries. The schnitzel was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I also received a side of spicy mustard for dipping, which was fantastic. The potato salad had a wonderful depth of flavor that I really appreciated. This is a fantastic place for authentic German cuisine! The restaurant has a cozy, intimate setting and wasn’t very crowded on a weekday evening, though I can imagine it gets busier on weekends. I tried the potato leek soup, pretzel appetizer, jaeger schnitzel, and apple strudel, and everything was excellent! Each dish was served piping hot and freshly made, with the schnitzel and spaetzle standing out as particularly delicious. The portion sizes are fairly generous, and I managed to finish every last bite! Considering the portion sizes and the quality of the food, the prices are reasonable and absolutely worth it.
This is in response to the owner of this business who said my review was my opinion when I complained that the server was RUDE. I was a server and rudeness is never okay. The customers are your money. My party either individually or together will never visit your establishment again. I hope YOU think about this and understand.
