I love it. I had to go to Oakland earlier to eat Ethiopia and can now get the same only 5 minutes from my house. I have eaten there several times and place was always clean and food delicious. My husband and I always order the vegetarian combo and meat combination and they are always good. My only advice is to ask for the modern honey wine (Enad??) which is much better in our view than the other way they sometimes serve. Then it may be our preference again. The staff is friendly and always polite. If she is very busy service can slow down, but it is a small place and wait is very tolerable. Without fear!
Amazing food (even for vegans! and even more amazing service and hospitality. They always remember us and the chef comes out to greet us every time. The spicing and freshness of the food are both incredibly perfect. The hummus included in the family-style veggie platter is my very favorite, and theirs is the best injera I've found. Also the price is so reasonable that we go once a week without thinking twice about it.
This place is amazing! The warm inviting atmosphere paired with the spices and culturally tuned dining experience was exactly what i look for in a dining experience. Hospitable, delicious the food was served in large portions at a good price. Try the vegetarian lunch special or any of the meat dishes for a great dining experience. The coffee ceremony was a perfect addition.
Absolutely fantastic food and a wonderful experience! We ordered the vegetarian sampler plate, which I recommend for anyone wanting to taste a bit of everything. We also tried the lamb dish, which was perfectly spiced and incredibly delicious. At dinner, they serve a special bread that you use in place of silverware, making it an unforgettable meal.

Delicious! Been here a good dozen times now, and never had a bad visit. Fresh ingredients, friendly service, cheerful environment. What I like most that they don't use salt in the cooking. I just chatted with the super friendly owner and she confirmed this. She lets the ingredients and unique Ethiopian spices be the stars of the show.
The food here is excellent, and the portions are very generous. We ordered the vegetarian sampler and were pleasantly surprised with multiple refills of the dishes, all included without extra charges. The staff is extremely friendly, and the service is quick. This place is a hidden gem in Richmond!
This is an outstanding Ethiopian restaurant tucked away in El Cerrito. The vegan food is incredibly delicious. It's a cozy, clean spot with a lovely atmosphere, offering healthy yet indulgent meals and friendly staff. I highly recommend it!
Food is great, and it was too spicy for us they brought out another dish that was not spicy that was fantastic!
