The restaurant is decent overall. I had takeout for dinner, and the price per person ranged from $30 to $50. The food was quite good, earning a rating of 4 out of 5. However, the service was lacking, coming in at just 2 out of 5. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired, with a rating of only 1. I would recommend trying the Fried Goat and Fried Plantains.
I have been coming to this place ever since I was a child. They had the best patties especially after I came from church. I went back to this restaurant after moving a few years ago and it was even better than I remembered. I recommend this Taste the Island if you wanna try Haitian food! I will never come back to this place again. This old man was very rude to me when I ordered my food. I left to go get change and came back to him yelling at me for not waiting for him. Seriously they have no etiquette at all. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Réservez une table maintenant
The oxtails are inconsistent! One week, they are served in large pieces with a generous portion, and the next week, they're cut much thinner and come in a smaller portion for the same price. If the food quality varies like this, customers are unlikely to come back.
