This is the second time I’ve order online and something was not available. The first time they said they would refund me the difference of the item I chose, never happened and it was less than $2 so I never bothered with it. This time they literally called me 2 minutes before the order was ready. You didn’t find out you didn’t have the dish before hand? This time i opted out of a refund and rather just find something that’s equivalent. So when I chose a different item and asked for an extra egg to compensate for the price difference of the first item that they didn’t have when I opened the box after I got home and they never actually gave the extra egg oh and my bread wasn’t even toasted. Like many chain restaurants, Tatte Bakery Cafe appears to be losing its touch with service as it expands. I order from the Tatte on Old Colony Ave at least weekly, but I regret to say that my recent experiences have been disappointing. Today, the grilled cheese was barely grilled; the cheese was not melted properly, and the tomato soup was overstuffed with about six large whole basil leaves. Spending around $20 for lunch (which includes the must-have Halva brownie that is still delicious) and facing such a decline in quality is really disheartening. It’s not just this location either; I’ve noticed others are also slipping.

Parking: Street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kid-friendliness: I wouldn’t recommend it for young children, as it might be a bit dull for them.
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
Tatte is a bakery that makes a variety of breads but for some reason they don 't allow customers to request the bread for a sandwich. The answer They don 't let us do that, when you ask for pita or n stead of challah is super lame.

A visit to Boston isn't complete without stopping by Tatte Bakery Cafe. The food is consistently delicious and satisfying.
Love the many options for customers with gluten allergy. The location is wonderful and the staff were very friendly.
The coffee, food, and staff here are exceptional, especially the morning manager who is always cheerful and smiling.
