The pub food was decent, but not exceptional. However, the beer selection was outstanding! My son enjoyed a pepperoni Stromboli, which he loved. I chose the Tuscan chicken sandwich, and it was good. My wife ordered the blackened chicken linguine with cherry tomatoes, spinach, and Alfredo sauce, but unfortunately, it tasted more like burnt chicken rather than creamy Alfredo, lacking garlic and other spices. Parking was fairly easy, and they do have covered picnic tables, although that area is right next to the bustling Egypt Road.
We are new to the area and ate here on the awesome deck a few weeks ago and really enjoyed ourselves. It was a typical summer day that was sunny one minute and rainy the next but we enjoyed it. The food was good as well. Yesterday a group of 4 of us called ahead to ask if the deck was open due to it being a rainy day. We were told on the phone that it was so we drove over and were told by a staff member that it wasn't. Shame we couldn't sit outside when there was only one other group of people there in the entire place.
The restaurant offers a great variety of beers and food. The staff is friendly, and there is a decent amount of seating available. Weather permitting, there's also outdoor seating. You can choose to sit at the bar or dine in the main area. I really wish I had taken a photo of the loaded fries – they could easily be a meal on their own! Prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous.
I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The service was outstanding and quick enough for an hour lunch. The lighting in the restaurant is also fantastic. I enjoyed a delicious lump crab cake sandwich with fries for just $10. They offer a great lunch special for $10, along with affordable drinks under $10. The service was very good. We encountered three different employees while dining and all were professional and talented. The hummus was just okay...I think it was a one ingredient only hummus (chickpea) but the freshness and presentation of the plate made up for it. I had the generals cauliflower with rice. Loved it! My child had the bbq wings. I recommend !
We enjoyed our meal under the canopy on a warm October night. The comfort food was excellently prepared. We had meatloaf with mashed potatoes (real potatoes with the skin on, which was fantastic), crispy Brussels sprouts, and delicious mussels. They also had a good selection of beers, all at reasonable prices.
