Tavern In The Square Shrewsbury

The Tavern on the Square does everything right, great location, plenty of marketing, great atmosphere for all ages and huge menu with excellent meals especially those like me who have Celiac, a Gluten allergy. They only use vats that are GF so most of their items are not just excellent, but GF. They service is outstanding and we've had a few different great servers and Kat was great, knowledgeable and like me, GF Celiac. One word. Go!

Unfortunately, my veggie burger and tater tots were cold. It took much longer than usual to get our food, so we didn’t tell them or ask to have it remade. I believe the restaurant was shortstaffed?

Made reservations and couldn’t be a accommodated I was told the kitchen was backed up take a walk around the bar. Don’t allow reservations if you can’t seat the party.

Awesome waitress and delicious food. Six of us dining after a dance recital and they couldn’t have been more accommodating!

My kids, aged 21 and 20, and I always enjoy dining at this restaurant. It's a fantastic spot for their age group.
