Dinner at Die Rose isn 't just a meal out, it 's an experience. From the warm welcome when you arrive, to the traditional and atmospheric dining room, to the attentive yet relaxed service, you 'll have an evening to remember. Currently on offer is a vegetarian tasting menu consisting of five courses, plus a choice of fine meats and fish to add on if you wish. There 's also a wonderful cheese trolley and of course, this being Switzerland a chocolate trolley (both optional). Each course is previewed by a tiny, jewel like amuse bouche reflecting the ingredients of the next course. As befits a Michelin 1 star restaurant, the food is exquisite: seasonal, pairing interesting tastes and textures, and a real voyage of culinary discovery. The restaurant offers matching wines for each course and you can order some wines by the glass. Although the courses are not huge, it 's easy to eat so much of the delicious bread and butter that you quickly fill up. Remember that cookies and sweets will arrive automatically after the optional cheese and chocolate trolleys. This is not a cheap evening but it 's worth every franc. Go for a treat and enjoy not only wonderful gastronomic surprises, but service from friendly professionals who make dining at Die Rose a true delight.

There are 2 restaurants here and we went to the Taverna Rosa which is not the Michelin star one. We were sat at a long bench with other people, so felt no privacy to chat. The starters were expensive. The green salad was 11.50 and the bouillon with ravioli was also 11.50-it reminded my husband of a stock cube with 2 bits of pasta floating in it. the mains we had polenta with mushrooms and with meat costing 34 and 38.50 .Overcooked meat with an unappetising gravy. No vegetables at all. I had the spaghetti bolognaise which was far too salty. The chocolate cake was 15 for a tiny portion. We shall not be going back there again. and shall not recommend it either.

Everything was pretty much perfect, as you'd expect in that level of dining. The menu is more flexible than most Michelin star restaurants since you have a base vegetarian menu and you can choose to add fish or meat to some of the base courses. Some of the very minor things we felt could have been a little better: the veal slice was nice, but too massive to our taste the final mignonettes were underwhelming

Went here with some friends for a vegetarian tasting menu. The food quality and the presentation was exquisite and the service was excellent the chef was extremely creative especially as he’d tried to use mainly seasonal and local produce. A wonderful dining experience and I would also say very good value given the time it must have taken.
