This is a lovely pub, real log fires, clean, tasteful decor and a good menu. However, the service let it down. The staff were overbearing and joined in the conversations we were having at the table and it was just all too much. We asked...3 times to order more drinks, and after ordering asked 3 more times to actually get them. They weren’t that busy, they were just being way too chatty to actually do what they were there to do. We were there to catch up with family rather than the waiter. The Grandchildren booked an afternoon tea for 6 for a Birthday Treat. On arrival the booking had not been logged for Afternoon Tea due to an error, which was disappointing. There was an apology but it did spoil the surprise birthday present. However, we ordered...food from the menu which was good. It was even more disappointing when a family arrived about 30 minutes after us and were served an afternoon tea with all the trimmings. We did complain on leaving and there was an apology and an offer of an afternoon tea on the house if we booked again, so not an alltogether bad experience.
Visited this venue for Christmas dinner….we won’t discuss that BUT wanted to try it again as co owner Anthony was so lovely. Soooo glad I did, today was excellent!!!! Very warm welcome from Anthony, Connor and Biscuit! The food was beautiful! The new chef is...fab!! Couldn’t fault it at all!!! The only issue left for me is how cold it is. I know there are issues but it needs to be sorted as it takes away from the comfort. Sort that out and this may well become my local!!!! Would have def been a rating of 5 if it had been warmer
many times went into the tayleurs, it is not what it was once. it was a weekend with only one handful of cars in the parking lot. the restaurant and the bar were dirty with used glasses on a series of tables and only a few locals who bite up the bar. this could be apologised for by absensity and illness of the personal, but the feeling of the place is no longer the place to dinner in telford." That is, eating came fast and was above average, but unfortunately we will not return.

After reading the previous reviews I was slightly dubious about visiting here with my friends for some food on a Saturday evening. I spoke with Connor the landlord who explained they have a new chef. I was not disappointed! I went for the pakora and...onion Bhaji, the flavour was amazing with prompt service. For the main I had the 8oz sirloin which was cooked to perfection. Please do not read previous reviews the new chef is excellent and Connor is extremely accommodating.
Our Christmas dinner was cancelled, on Christmas day whilst we were sat at the table waiting for Christmas dinner. A still too drunk manager came over to say that the kitchen staff were also too ill from their party last night to cook the christmas...dinner. Our back up Carvery was put out raw by a chef in training. No starter, no desserts, no happy Christmas. Literally the worst and most unprofessional situation I have ever been in as a customer.
SHOCKING Christmas Day meal at The Tayleur Arms! Room was FREEZING. Food not cooked and cold. No starters or puddings due to being short staffed?!?!? Young lad sent by management to tell customers. £75 each. A joke! It’s Christmas! Avoid like Covid!
fantastic service from start to end x all employees, where fantastic nothing was too much annoyed x food was a fantastic buffet for us absolutely delicious xx drinks we had the fantastic cocktails £45 per person all day xx

I am here menu times since she had a new cook, that is exceptional, booked the afternoon tee as tasty bites for family visit was not disappointed, many choices all made home have booked again for the next weekend.
my man had fish and chips and said they were the best he had eaten for a long time. I had caesar salat the taste was perfect. we'll go back.
