Beep; Boop Beep’s! OBC is from Downers Grove and for the better part of 15 years all I’ve heard about is Teddy’s Red Hots and their delicious fries. So within ~20 minutes of our flight landing we found ourselves here for her tastebuds to take a walk down memory lane. While I will admit, the fries and onion rings were pretty darn good, that wasn’t the jaw-dropping part of the experience. Many others have commented as to it and it gets a little more personal when you are the one forking over $19 for a side of fries, onion rings and fountain beverage. This place is truly special! I brought a friend here and shared stories about how my father and I used to visit when I was a little girl, and now I always come back when I'm in town. To my surprise, we saw George, and I couldn't believe he was still working here—it made the experience even more wonderful. As always, George and the rest of the staff were incredibly funny, friendly, helpful, and dedicated. The grilled chicken salad was delicious, and the Italian ice cream never fails to impress! My family and I love Teddys! We have really come since I was a little girl (over 20 years) and the food and service is always 100% consistent. Delicious, made-to-order, feel good comfort food best. Everything's always fresh, never fat. Everyone who says prices is too high. We never had a bad meal here it's worth every penny! These are hard-working little businessmen who serve us well and deserve everything! Her Italian ice cream is also incredible, the best I've ever had! Always fun flavors to try as well as the classic lemon.
Beautiful Italian sausage only enough of the right spices. Fries were simple and right. Only handle would be that my bungalow was so chewing on the lower half I had a hard time to bite through them. A symptom of warming? I'd come back and plan on it. Need the Red Hots and Italian ice cream next to you! EDIT Now in the back (again) and the ices are amazing!! So much so that I have my rating of 0.5... Lemon is really refreshing, but I cause Lime has stronger taste and more sour beat! Réservez une table maintenant
Ordered Chicken Philly. Sandwich was hot and everything was fresh right down to the sandwich bread. Sandwich and Fries was $20. So worth it IMO. Not greasy at all. Fries were hot and crispy and you don't normally get that with crinkle cut fries. The only thing I'm made about is I have to go back and try it again so I can be sure it was good as I thought it was. Large enough portion if 2 people weren't that hungry they could share FYI.
From the moment we stepped inside, I knew we were going to have a great experience! The owner was incredibly friendly. Every single dish we ordered exceeded our expectations! We tried the nuggets, cheeseburger, the combo, Italian ice, and frozen custard. The owner's pride and confidence in his food really shone through, and he helped us make excellent choices. Thank you! We will definitely be returning!
Definitely about standard for food, good service and reasonable prices. We can for the burger (pretzel bun! , Maxwell Style Polish, and the famous Italian beef (although I would add cheese, along with the frits and onion rings. Custard Shake was good, but on the liquid side I prefer my thicker. Italian ice cream is also a must.
