I recently visited this restaurant with my kids, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The lady at the counter seemed to have trouble hearing, possibly because it was crowded, and she completely overlooked my kids' orders. I had to shout several times to get her attention, as she nearly discarded their order. When she finally noticed me, she told me to "take it easy" and informed me that their fries were ready. I felt embarrassed and frustrated, and my kids were left feeling ignored. My youngest even ended up crying. Very popular little corner deli that serves a wide variety of tasty sandwiches and lunch specials. My favorite is their Sloppy Ted hot pastrami and melted Swiss cheese on rye bread with cole slaw and Russia dressing. Expect a line around lunch time, but they are organized so it moves fast. Reasonable prices. Lots of parking, but it can get crowded around noon. Strictly takeout. Van Saun park is just a few minutes away with loads of picnic tables. Weekdays they 're open at 6.30 and close at 4pm. Saturday it 's 7am -2.30pm.
I love going to Ted's. They are a family owned deli that really care about their customers. They have a wide variety of sandwhiches to choose from. My personal favorites are the American Chicken and the Sweet Virginia. Note the hours of operation because they do open and close on particular times and days. Definetley my favorite deli in the Bergen County area.

I wanted to see what all the excitement was about, but I was left quite disappointed. I ordered their chicken cutlet sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes, expecting a classic staple that would be hard to mess up. Unfortunately, if you're looking for pre-cooked, reheated chicken similar to what you find at fast food chains, this is the place for you.
Talk about efficiency and professionalism! Not once have I been asked to repeat my order or not been heard, and every time my order has been perfect. The taste is on point and boy, the fries! The fries! If you order a large fries, be prepared to have leftover for days. This place is a must if you're in the area.
