A M A Z I N G!!! 5/5, home cooked meals, you can feel the love thats put on the dish • Goulash: tender meat, flavourful sauce, hefty amount that comes with some veggies rice • Leskovachki Ushtipc $16.95 (formed ground meat) topped with yogurt cream sauce fresh onions: this was D E L I C I O U S! Enjoyed the food and atmosphere here!! We had the meat platter... and it was very meaty!! We also tried the cabbage rolls. Both were very delish!! The homemade bread they served with the food was fresh and fluffy... we were stuffed.... but couldn't resist trying their dessert. We wanted to try something new so we tried the sour cherry cake. It was delish!!! My husband who was too full to eat anything else when I suggested dessert.... ate 3/4 of it! Definitely will be going back!... the staff there is also very friendly!
Charming Serbian restaurant in Burnaby serving Eastern European cuisine. Cabbage rolls quite tasty but heavy on the meat and paprika. Lamb was delicious. Chicken thighs and trout quite good. Baklava excellent. Only 1 server for all tables so a little slow. I had a problem with the Open Table reservation which they hadn’t received but seated us right away. After several conversations with server about acknowledging that we’d been there I am not certain if our points were added.
Service was prompt and we received our meals quickly as restaurant wasn't too busy for our 6:15 reservation. Cozy atmosphere. Portions are very generous so we were happy we skipped the appetizers. The meat in the goulash was very tender as was the lamb my partner ordered. Good homestyle cooking and definitely worth a visit if you want to try something different.
Yelpers indicated Goulash was a must order. The sauce was good to dip the bread as there was nothing provided for the bread. The meat was over cooked and dry. The Veal was very good however they need to remove the chewy membrane before they roll it. Server was nice but our water was never refilled.
What a small gem hidden away but we found it A very small restaurant but extremely cozy atmosphere felt welcome fantastic good tasting food and huge portions large menu options A BIG THANK YOU to the chef and the courteous servers We had a wonderful time and shall for sure be back and bring friends
