Harumama is one of our family’s favorite take out places when we are out in town running errands. The food is always amazing and consistent. We particularly love the character buns and ramen with a start of kaarage! Yum! Sadly, that’s not what led me to leave this review. We eat here probably once a week and always choose to eat on the go. Today we had an exceptionally harder family day and chose to change our take out order to a dining in order to make it extra special for our little daughter. This restaurant is truly amazing! We have dined here multiple times, and every dish we've tried has been wonderful. On our most recent visit, I ordered the ramen with peanut sauce and ground pork, and it was definitely my favorite dish. It had the perfect amount of spice, rich flavors, and the egg was cooked just right. We love coming to this place not only for the warm service but also for the delightful buns they serve. As noted in other reviews, they are simply delightful, and the churro bun and Nutella bun are the perfect way to end any meal. I really enjoyed this place and really had a good time. We ordered: Karaage Veggie pot stickers Cucumber noodle salad Eggplant and duck bao Cow character bun Fat duck ramen Feedback karaage was standard, but didn't come with any lemon. This was unusual for me, since nearly every other place I've been to always provided a wedge Cucumber noodle salad was drenched in dressing. The bottom of the dish was a pool. the fat duck ramen was outstanding save for one thing, the noodles were a little soft. Next time I'd ask to see if I can get them as firm noodles or as al dente as possible. Standouts: Veggie pot stickers actually had good heat to them. Eggplant bao was delicious according to the wife.
Wanted to try harumama for a couple month now and can say i was not disappointed. The hot buns in shape of animal were not only super cute but packed with flavor. I had my toddler with me who absolutely loved the puppy churro flavor one. The seaweed salad was very delicious and the haru ramen had a nice well balance broth. The tofu had time to soak up the broth and it was great. The Buns were amazing so whimsical and actually tasted delicious ? However we also ordered the Ramen and it was by far one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted. It looked presentable enough but the flavor literally tasted like water with some chicken flavoring tossed onto it. We asked to pay and did not like it at all luckily the Manager was an amazing guy and fully refunded the Ramen ? again maybe it was just me . But definitely do come for the bund they are adorable and are truly delicious
We showed up at 8pm on a Monday to an hour long wait which meant we had to switch gear and grab our food to go since they close at 9pm. This place must be popular! Most of the items were tasty including the Ramen and the Superheroes Poke bowl. The bao buns were cute and unique but the chicken karaage was dry like Jerky.
It was just okay. The fried rice was extremely bland. The cucumber noodles were good but again, a bit bland, the yakisoba was just okay. Nothing I'd come back for. My friend's tofu ramen was good according to her. This isn't a place I'd seek out. I'd dine here again if nothing else was available.
Service was great considering how busy it was. Food always taste great here. Can't go wrong with the duck fat or tonkatsu ramen. Pork belly bao buns are my favorite ?.
