Before visiting this Japanese restaurant, I had my doubts about whether they could serve a good teriyaki dish. However, my curiosity was piqued, especially after tasting the food that arrived at my table. We ordered miso soup, teriyaki chicken on a stick, steamed pork gyoza, tamago-yaki, and a steak salad. I watched as two Japanese chefs worked diligently behind the counter. Within ten minutes, all our dishes were served. Wow! The gyoza was incredibly flavorful. The yakitori on the stick was generous in size, the meat juicy and tender. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium-rare, and the tamago-yaki was soft and delicious. I'm at a loss for words!
Right from the start, they offer Naruto Manga to read while you wait, which definitely earns them five stars in addition to their excellent and friendly service. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with a few tables for dining in. I appreciate the small but efficient menu, as it allows them to focus on perfecting a select few dishes rather than overwhelming diners with too many choices. They also have clearly marked vegetarian options, which is much appreciated. The food is served in generous portions and is both delicious and fresh. I will definitely be returning!
A really simple and fresh option. I'm not a massive fan of teriyaki as I usually find it too heavy/sweet but I enjoyed it here. We had the chicken bowl and salad bowl. I don't usually order salad but I liked the addition of edamame and sesame dressing with the chicken. I enjoyed both.<br/ <br/ The interior is simple and clean. Not a huge menu but they do really well with what is offered. Definitely recommend for the area.
Delicious flavours complimented by incredible service. This is a place you will definitely return to, not only for the food but also for the warm, friendly and generous owners. There are oragami activities, short Japanese documentaries and a beautiful ambience within this wonderful restaurant for all to enjoy. I highly recommend Teriyaki Tokyo and can't wait to try it again! Thank you :

Came here for quick bite with the family (including the dog). Delicious food that even our toddler liked. The portion sizes are also very generous. I ordered a medium bowl but I should have ordered a small. It’s mostly a takeaway place but they have a few tables out the front. The owner is lovely and the service was quick. Will return.
A very pleasant and cosy Japanese restaurant in Rochedale South. The food is very tasty and inexpensive, the staff here are friendly, and most importantly it feels as if you are in Japan while dining here. Love this place heaps, will come back regularly :
Amazing! This small restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but the teriyaki they serve is absolutely incredible. Honestly, it's as good as what you would find in Japan. The service is warm, efficient, and very friendly. A fantastic spot!
Amazing! Owners are very friendly smiling and happy. Fresh, made to order. Their signature sauce is sooo glossy and tasty! I recommend the chicken or steak bowl. Gyoza A+ plus, you can origami or read Naruto while you wait!!

Lovely place with great quality food. Service was fantastic with very friendly and welcoming owner. I highly recommend getting the spicy teriyaki sauce. Would definitely become a regular here!
