The 5 star rating could be based solely on the views. Yes the food and service were good, but I couldn't get over how nice it would be to just sit either inside or on the patio and look out on the golf course on a nice sunny day. I came here for a coaches banquet, but for reasons just mentioned plan to come back soon on a nice blue sky, sunny day. The bar and restaurant floor area were nicely decorated with huge windows to showcase their view. I wish I would have taken a picture, but I couldn't find an opportunity during the banquet. This golf course is absolutely stunning. It’s impeccably maintained and the prices are reasonable. There’s a snack stand and a banquet hall where they serve fantastic food for lunch and dinner. I visited for a golf tournament, and it was exceptionally organized. There’s ample parking and plenty of golf carts available for everyone. The course features 27 holes, arranged in three sets of nine (I believe they’re designated East, West, and South). It's a vast facility! My only minor issue was that the sand traps were quite hard and gritty, making it tougher than usual to play from them. But honestly, if I were better at golf, that wouldn't be a concern! I would love to play here again!
This is my favorite public golf course in Western New York even taking my long drive into consideration. The course is always dry, and always in immaculate shape. There are three different 9s to play with the north course (10-18 being my favorite 9 (love the par-3 island hole [pictured] . It's a semi-challenging course, yet still approachable for lesser skilled players. And the views are some of the best on any local course. They also usually have a drink cart driving around too which is always appreciated. Lastly, their grill has decent food too. I usually grab a grilled chicken sandwich and it's always juicy and served on a local Costanzo's roll.
I visited this restaurant for dinner on a weekday, and it was pleasantly quiet. The dining area is spacious and offers a stunning view of the golf course. There were three of us, and our drink and food orders were taken quickly. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Our drinks and food arrived in a timely manner, and everything was as we had requested. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. It's a lovely place to dine, open to everyone. Enjoyed the unique and varied meals offered last year. New choices are always fun and make a remarkable night out. This year, have done the Covid Friday take out several times. Each Friday theres been several options and they 've changed each week Liked ordering midday, being able to select my supper pick up time and the quick curbside pickup ! Also the take out containers are way above average. I 'm sure ppl cld wash and reuse them for home BBQing. Terry Hills is definitely worth a try.
The golf course itself is lovely, but the service and wait times left much to be desired. We made a reservation for four people, but when I arrived with just three because one had an emergency, the staff member in the clubhouse was quite condescending. He commented that he would "let this one slide," as if I were a child. Overall, the golf course is nice, but nothing particularly exceptional.
Our server, Kim, was fantastic on Friday night and provided excellent service. I've never had a bad meal here, and this past Friday, the sweet and sour wings were outstanding! I highly recommend giving this place a try. The patio dining is also a great feature, especially in nice weather.
