Here is my original review: Went last weekend with some friends. While my food was really good, my husband had under cooked scallops. The double shot of Jamison’s he ordered was barely 1 shot. But that wasn’t the worst part. The young man bussing the tables had hair hanging in his face. Not a strand of hair; a face full completely covering his eyes. I’m not sure how he walked among the tables without running into things. And I’m not sure how well he could see the tables to properly clean them. Management should require that his hair be out of his face, or make him wear a hairnet. After posting that, I was contacted by someone claiming to be the boy 's father. The food is quite good and the interior has a wonderful nostalgic feel to it. The decoration could be increased just a little bit but is nice. They seem to have. A perennial problem maintaining full staff which is quite a shame. The food is well portioned for the price as well. Overall it is definitely deserving of longevity as an eatery and worth a stop when in the area. Went there to try something new. Was seated pretty quickly, however, that was the only good thing about the experience. We order our food and waited forever to get our plates. Not only the time it took to get our food, our table was only checked on 2 times. The food itself was subpar. I ordered the frog legs. They came out very rubbery and way over cooked. My GF had the crayfish it came out over cooked as well. The table across from us waited a long time to get their food and one order was completely wrong. The waitress seems annoyed to be there. Food was so delicious for our first try!!! I must say the T bone was so on point OMG!! The seafood pasta was on point and for the kids Catfish nuggets my baby was in love she actually ate her food! But the drinks was okay not 100% but a 70% still hit a little... but will be back for the food! This is a gem of a place! I ordered the fried catfish, shrimp, and oysters, and it was absolutely delicious. We also ordered alligator bites and boudin, and both were also excellent. I particularly enjoyed the fry batter nice and crisp! Oof. Sad depressing atmosphere. Ordered jalapeño poppers, middle was cold. Entree was (3) stuffed crab, could eat only half of one. That’s all I could stomach. Tasted frozen as well. We had a group of about 25 and they did a good job of taking care of us. There was only one meal that was wrong and our meal was exchanged with someone else's meal but they made it right. We had seafood and it was good. I even saw one person had a steak and it looked great. Cameron was our waiter, he did a fanatic job! Very interactive, GREAT job on our cocktails even recommendations! Food was incredible, ordered multiple items due to that fact alone!
