This was not bad food at all. It was not your regular tasting bbq. I had brisket, ribs, potato salad and beans. Everything tasted as if someone from another country used their spices even the bbq sauce. The meat tasted boiled then maybe put on the grill. The potato salad tasted like it had capers in it. The potato part was very good, but there was very little meat and an overabundance of sauce. The potato was the best part, but the meat is supposed to be the best part. The meat was overcooked and dry. The people there were very nice. Just didn't have the same feelings about the food as I did. I went back once more and tried a 2 meat/2 side plate, and the brisket was dry and too fatty for me, and the ribs were dry, too. I prefer when you don't really need the sauce but like a little flavor enhancer. I doubt I will return. They have a challenge. Spent $50 on BBQ yesterday and picked up my order first they didn't have bags which I get. The guy helped me carry my food to car but didn't check my order to make sure it was accurate it was not busy) well I get home and carry 6 boxes and a drink inside and it had ribs, tri tip and pulled pork with beans and Mac n cheese and fries and extra potato salad. I did not get the beans or fries and did get an order of onion rings and literally came with ZERO BBQ sauce! Literally NONE! I spent 13 years in food service and I know it's sucks BUT when there are other BBQ places you can go and spent a good amount of money on it you want it done correctly. No one wants to drop $50 for meat with zero sauc...
If I could give zero stars, I would. Just ordered it online. My credit card was charged. The restaurant is closed. Completely unacceptable. Do not recommend.Update: 40 minutes after online order was placed, my credit card was charged, phone calls unanswered, and Yelp review posted, the management responded to my review here. I then received a text that my order had been cancelled.Perhaps disable online ordering and have a phone message that informs potential customers of that fact.

This was the second time this week that we ate at Kings barbecue. The first time we had brisket sandwiches with waffle fries ,brisket was excellent ,service was great ! Tonight we tried the ribs and the pulled pork sandwich, the ribs were so meaty and tasty and the meat fell right off the bone. The pulled pork sandwich was plentiful and so full of great flavor. This is definitely one of Sacramento‘s hidden gems.
I am SUPER PICKY when it comes to bbq food! But by far the best bbq I’ve had in a LONG time! The employees were both great! Friendly and professional. I had the Dino bone plate today 7/30/23. Excellent Beef rib. I had the apple slaw and BBQ beans for the sides. Both were good. Personally I prefer the smoked potato salad or Mac and cheese. I've had their tri tip and brisket and they are both really good.Food: 5/5
Small but tasty,this barbecue spot is fairly new to the area. It's decorated in industrial style with knotty pine, and corrugated tin design elements. A traditional BBQ menu is displayed on their menu board which includes their very tasty BBQ sauce.Food: 3/5

The barbeque tasted good but it had a large piece of gristle and a bone looking like bbq meat which I chipped a tooth on. The corn was greasy and old.nachos had a sharp bone mixed in the meat.
