I've gotten takeout here a few times and have been enjoying exploring their menu ? My favorite so far is their gaeng phed (red curry). The curry has a rich flavor and they serve it with perfectly cooked jasmine rice. I also really enjoyed the shrimp kao pad (fried rice) and fresh veggie spring rolls (best part is their peanut sauce). Other things I've tried that have been meh were the pad thai (okay, but a little sweet for my taste) and shrimp tom kha soup (way more sour than I'm used to). I have ordered from Thai Am for over 5 years. I was recently charged 2$ to add bean sprout to a dish online, since I don't eat onions. Bean sprouts isn't listed as an option to be charged at extea cost . Its just as much as adding extra meat. Otherwise I would have not added if I had an opton. I feel like I should have been notified of extra charges prior to my online order. I spoke to the manager who explained this to me today. I had a terrible experience during lunch today! First, my order was completely forgotten. After waiting 25 minutes and watching other tables that arrived after me being served, I inquired about my meal. The waitress apologized and brought my food out just a minute later, but it turned out to be a soupy mess that was supposed to be pad thai. When the waitress asked why I hadn’t eaten it, I pointed out that it looked more like soup than a proper dish. She apologized again and then handed me my bill! What a joke. I paid the bill but won’t be returning. It’s a shame this place has gone downhill; I used to really enjoy it. I suppose it’s just a sign of the times.
I'm not a resident of St. Pete, so consider this review accordingly, as I can’t compare it to other local Thai restaurants. We're just visiting for the night and staying at a hotel, and we chose to order from Thai-Am because their online menu offered a wide variety of options. We ordered the pad Thai crusted duck and pot stickers. Our order arrived at the hotel incredibly fast and was piping hot. The flavors were outstanding! If I return to St. Pete in the near future, I would definitely love to dine in at the restaurant instead of ordering delivery. Highly recommended!

Thai am has changed. They used to be a great lunch spot, quality food and timely. Since the pandemic the food has not been the same. Portions have been skimpy, long wait time for to-go, and overall it?s just not worth ordering. I wish there was a betterThai spot in this location cuz Thai Am is no longer a gem.
Stopped in for lunch and was absolutely delighted with the service and the food. Absolutely delicious at a modest price. This will be a definite regular dining spot for me

This restaurant offers truly fantastic food. We sampled the fried dumplings, and they were absolutely delicious.
