Me and my friend were looking forward to a nice meal here after people had said how good it was.We were seated and sat there a good 20 minutes till we got menus and our drinks order taken and even then we had to ask for them.The place was very busy and there was only 3 staff on.The Upstairs restaurant area was full too as you have to walk through it to get to the toilets.To me the building is dated and needs a total refurbishment.The top floor where the toilets are is awful.Its full of old furniture,kitchen equipment,boxes piled up and basically old tat.Peeling wallpaper and looks dirty.We ordered sharing duck pancakes.This took another 45 mins to arrive.The couple that were on the next tabl...
During our recent visit to Morecambe, we dined at this restaurant. Our evening started off well; we were seated promptly at a nice table, served a delightful bottle of wine, and enjoyed delicious starters. However, the main course I ordered, scallops, were disappointingly undercooked and inedible. When the waitress noticed my barely touched plate, I informed her of the issue. Sadly, no one returned to our table for quite some time to offer dessert, coffee, or the bill. Despite our efforts to get their attention, the staff seemed oblivious to us. Well after being recommended to this place, we were slightly underwhelmed with the food and the surroundings! The decor has seen better days and there is a whole top floor with things piled high , chairs cooking utensils and a child's play equipment.,which is where the toilets are so you have to walk past it all.The food was very ordinary and quite expensive for what you got, the best was the prawn toast and that was the cheapest. The staff did their best with what they have been given , also if you were looking for a nice dessert, they don't do them! Would not go back.
My sister and brother in law visited last year. They treated my mum and myself. Firstly, staff were fab. 3 of us ordered the fillet steak. Cooked ourselves, never ever have i tasted steak like it. Absolutely delicious and plentiful. Mum opted for a thai curry, staff were very accommodating, mum cant do a hot one , thoroughly enjoyed, great atmosphere. 10/10. Def going to come back. Our friends are regular visitors to the restaurant and have been wanting g us to come for years. We finally snuck a night out without the children and got to experience this amazing restaurant and food. Genuinely a case of don’t judge a book by it’s cover as it doesn’t look like much on the interior but the food was exceptional and the service was incredible! We will be going back again soon!!
I dined at this restaurant for the first time and tried the fish cakes and tempura king prawns as starters. I found the fish cakes to be a bit chewy, perhaps this is the Thai way of cooking? Our main courses were absolutely delicious. The only downside was that the portion size of the side rice was very small, so we had to order two. Overall, it was a very tasty meal.
