Delicious curry! Last time I ordered 2 extra rice and after a very heated discussion between the two working in there got charged $4. Without knowing I boarded the ferry with just one portion of rice for 3 people. Wished they would have spared me the experience of fighting in front of me about some extra rice and just told me, it wasn't possible. Oh and I was the only customer at the time and they shut the place the moment I walked away. Just sad.

This delightful shack by the harbor has delicious Thai food. I highly recommend the green curry: lots of fresh vegetables and chicken with rice on the side. And the curry fried rice is great. Sue and Dan are nice hosts and you can sit and watch the ferry traffic to the islands as you eat. The tables are a hoot: rough-hewn granite picnic tables like something out of the Flintstones. Highly recommended.

I was excited about the concept of a Thai shack by the ocean, but I couldn't get past the heavy reliance on fried food. It appears that they have pre-made dishes like pad Thai and fried rice, and then fry up additional ingredients to order. There was a limited amount of vegetables, so we ordered fried green beans as well. My husband reheated the leftovers with more spice to enhance the flavor.

This was the worst excuse for pad thai that I’ve ever seen! I couldn’t even eat it! Pad thai has scallions, bean sprouts and peanuts in it. This had none of those! It was a bunch of clumps of noodles in a spicy brown sauce with big “patties “ of scrambled egg on top then some shredded carrots and shredded raw cabbage. Unfortunately a waste of money! Borderline inedible. They use frozen food and fry it for all dishes. Including seafood! In Maine. Inexcusable in my opinion. Sauces seem to be almost canned. Setting is quite nice but food is really no better than the cheap frozen section at the supermarket. Don’t bother with so many amazing places close by

We stopped for lunch at a restaurant near the ferry service to Vinalhaven. The tables and benches are beautifully crafted from pieces of granite. The menu offers a variety of options including Thai food, haddock, shrimp, and scallops, all of which were delicious.

I had the special of the day green curry. Amazing! Fresh veggies. Just the perfect amount of heat. The basil gave it just the right amount of fresh kick. So good. And it took about 6 minutes at 11:30 on a Wednesday. Also, just cash!

This restaurant is a fantastic little spot to grab a meal while waiting to board the ferry. It's tucked away in a small corner, so it may be hard to find for non-locals. But give it a try and you'll be delighted by the experience. Réservez une table maintenant

I ordered the crazy rice and decided to try it with clams because of the restaurant's location. It was definitely intriguing, but also very tasty. I can't wait to return soon and sample the other dishes on the menu.
