Our lunch experience took place on the outdoor patio with a beautiful view of the valley. They welcomed us with a bowl of pistachios and almonds, and we ordered still water, which was Evian. We tried the calamari and the tomato lobster soup. The calamari came with a slightly spicy sauce, but it was a bit too salty for my taste. The lobster tomato soup was mediocre at best; in fact, I ended up using it as a dip for the calamari.
I also ordered the margherita pizza, which was disappointing—I've had much better elsewhere. The sautéed mushrooms were a highlight, as they were quite tasty. Unfortunately, the steak fell flat; I can easily prepare a better steak at home.

After more than 20 years of fine dining in Napa, we finally got the opportunity to visit Auberge du Soleil. The views, especially from the outdoor seating area, were stunning and absolutely worthy of all the praise! The menu primarily showcases refined American cuisine with a hint of French inspiration. Eager to enjoy the beautiful scenery, we chose to have lunch, each ordering a Cobb salad and sharing a bone marrow appetizer. While it's anticipated that you'll pay a bit more for those views, the service was appropriately attentive.
We stopped by for a quick lunch and found that they had a limited menu, which is understandable given the off-season. Unfortunately, it was the worst $35 burger I’ve had in a long time. The meat lacked any flavor, and even after I requested extra onion and added ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper, it was still disappointing. It's a shame because the view and service were great, but the food did not live up to expectations! Meal type: Lunch.
In my opinion, the food was disappointing. The lobster was overwhelmed by an onion sauce, and the beef pave was smothered in a brown sauce—premium beef should be able to shine on its own. The only highlight of the meal was the sorbet. The service was slow, and they had run out of wagyu by 8 PM, which was quite disappointing. I don’t mind spending money for a great experience, but this felt more like a hassle than anything enjoyable.

We were eagerly anticipating our reservation, and the service was excellent, along with the beautiful venue. After driving three hours to get there, we were unfortunately turned away at the door because one member of our party had an emotional support pet—a 4-pound dog that is very well-behaved and stays inside a purse. It's disappointing, but I guess I understand.
This is a gorgeous location with stunning views of Napa Valley, and the food was outstanding as well. My partner found her main dish to be somewhat lacking, but she really enjoyed the other dishes. I stumbled upon this restaurant while out with my coworkers, and I'm so pleased I did! The food was incredible, and the view was simply stunning! The staff were friendly and exceptionally attentive as well. My only downside is that I wish the weather hadn't been quite so warm outside.
