Food and drinks: This is not a review of hotel rooms but of the restaurant which I have recently visited. 2 adults who each had one main and one desert. The main course which I had was haggis neeps and tatties which I thought would be a safe option as it is difficult to get wrong was extremely bland and came with an equally bland sauce which was watery. This was followed by ‘sticky toffee pudding’ which had clearly been sourced from a supplier who sells the cheapest products. The sponge itself was bland and had a strange flavour which I can’t quite put my finger on. I would be surprised if there are any dates in it. The sauce was the worst I have ever tasted. Four ladies of a certain age booked a meal at the abbotsford hotel for a girls night out First class service, food was lovely One of our party took ill during our meal Staff were so helpful and did not make her feel uncomfortable could not have done enough for her . Thank you Service: 5 Location: 5
The rooms are impeccably clean, and the reception staff, as well as the bar and restaurant staff, are fantastic. The food is excellent, and I will definitely be returning. Ratings: Rooms: 4, Service: 5, Location: 5.
