Having recently moved to the area, I decided to explore some local pubs. I found a charming pub located just off the one-way system, down a very steep hill by the river. This old-style pub had a smart appearance, with plenty of outdoor seating, large spacious bars, and lovely artwork on the walls. There was a welcoming log fire burning when I arrived. Although I got there just before opening time, the friendly landlord greeted me and served me an excellent pint of real ale. Despite the steep climb back home, I will definitely be returning to this pub.

Went 5here today with two friends. Super helpful staff so lovely and friendly. Beer is top class...wide range of cask ales...favourite was springwell from gooseeye brewery in Bingley. Extensive outside areas with plenty of shade is needed. Tends to get overlooked as a bot detached from Colne town centre...but only £2 by Delta Taxis back up t’hill. What’s not to like?

Not quite The Slaughtered Lamb but close enough. No atmosphere, no good and a limited selection of real ales despite it being promoted as a real ale pub. View of the waterside is obscured by industrial units. Cannot see any reason to make the trip out of the centre for such an average pub.
