The food was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. I ordered the anchor chicken sandwich along with fries, and I can't say enough good things about the quality of the food. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. When we arrived, a server took our drink order but then spent at least 30 minutes chatting with a coworker without coming back to take our food orders. Our original server went home for the night, and a new one eventually came to take our orders. While she delivered our food, she never checked in to see how we were enjoying our meal, which meant we couldn't ask her for anything else we needed. Great place I visited in Tampa while I was there for work. Got there late and the kitchen was closed. I think the bartender noticed me looking on my phone for another place for food. He let me know that the fryer was still on and they could make me something out of that. Got me some fries that were on point....no ketchup required...and some very good mozzarella sticks. You gotta love places and people that go out of their way to serve the customer even when they don't reallyhave to. I will be back.
I enjoy traveling and sampling chicken wings wherever I go, so I decided to try this place since it was near our hotel. I ordered the medium wings, and initially, the flavor didn’t stand out. However, as I continued eating, the sauce started to appeal to me; it had a nice balance of sweetness and warmth. The bar itself was small and quite crowded, and it felt a bit cramped. The service was just okay; it seemed like only one person was handling a packed bar.
I brought my out of town friends in last night and wasn’t expecting much from a dive bar, but we had an absolutely amazing experience! From the wings to the drinks to the service we were pleasantly surprised. Brianna was attentive no matter how busy she got and made our experience that much better. I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The bartender was fantastic—extremely attentive and spot on with service. The food was delicious; the honey buffalo shrimp was amazing, and the wings were just as good! This place is definitely a must-try. It's a local dive bar, but offers so much more.
The bartender, Destiny, was fantastic, and the bar patrons were incredibly friendly. The highlight of the evening was definitely the food—it was absolutely delicious! We ordered jalapeño poppers, wings, Philly egg rolls, and a crab cake sandwich, and they were all excellent choices!
