I believe it is not fair to give a complete review of the restaurant until lockdown restrictions are fully lifted. Keep in mind that we visited during the first weekend that indoor dining was allowed. I was initially concerned about the limited selection of cask beer, but the choice of Master Brew and Whitstable Bay Pale did not appeal to me. However, the pub has a charming old-world maritime theme with wooden beams and multiple rooms that make it feel like sitting in an old sailing ship. This pub used to be pretty decent, but went today and it's really gone downhill. Food took hours, waiting staff didn't take down table numbers and served up to the wrong tables. Food was pretty rubbish and low quality. Will be back again to see if it's turned around, because it used to be a good place, but not any time soon. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1
I only stopped in for a short time, but had a couple of beers as they were excellent... and they had a dartboard. I was able to get some practice in which was great! The staff were friendly and the beer garden was nice. The price per person was between £1-10 and the food and service were both rated a 5 out of 5.
The food at this restaurant is excellent! The bar staff are friendly and always go out of their way to help. There is a great selection of alcoholic beverages to choose from. They have even earned a 5-star food rating. Well done! I am excited to try their Sunday roast next. Keep up the good work, guys!
