excellent evening meal. I called after that. the manager opened the dining room early to accommodate us as the pub was pretty crowded. the delicious meal was served by a cheerful waitress. we waited for a while to eat, but young people were worth waiting. all were cooked to perfection, even the vegetables were 'precisely correct'. the steak was so tender that the house that was made the huh kiew was delicious. well earned 5 s well made chef anker staff
My wife and I dine at the Anchor most weeks, the food is always excellent especially the 'specials menu ' always something different to chose from, this week I had the swordfish, well cooked and well presented. We particularly enjoy the atmosphere and hospitality, nothing is ever to much trouble, always made to feel welcome by Neil, Alex and staff. I would certainly recommend the Anchor.
My wife and I Booked a room here for twelve people on our silver wedding anniversary and renewal of our vows, the staff were friendly and polite, the food was absolutely fantastic with a good variety of starters and deserts and Neil and Alex, the landlords, could not do enough for us and our guests and made our day very special. Thank you to all at The Anchor from Dean and Sharon.

I have often driven past this pub and thought I really must give it a try, well tonight I had the opportunity and wish I had tried it before. I had a lovely meal and the landlord was a wonderful character. Will definitely be making this one of my go to places.
I had the most amazing meat bark dinner after a long day at work, was a pleasure to have dinner and it did not boil to a crunchy and not cooked to the dead veg, it was the best bark and crunchy veg would come back

Had gone for my dads 56th birthday, food was absolutely spot on! A lovely canal pub that allows dog, perfect!!! I look forward to returning soon! X
