We unexpectedly ended up at The Antelope for dinner because the ship over 'out of eating' expired at 8:20 on Friday! We had never been here before. We received a warm welcome and were promptly served our drinks at the bar along with our menus. We were a bit surprised by the special menu printed on a laboriously hand-picked piece of A4 paper, especially since some items were crossed out as sold out. However, our concerns were unfounded as the food was excellent! It was well-cooked and served in good portion sizes. The waiter was helpful and charming. This lovely village pub is staffed by friendly and beautiful people, serving up wonderful food and offering a wide selection of ales and wines. It has a traditional country feel with a real fire, old beams, and local memorabilia adding to its charm. The pub also has darts and sports on TV in a separate area, so patrons can relax with a drink without being disturbed. only at home from a few days in the antelope. we visited friends in devizes and were here. the room was bright and spacious with a beautiful modern bathroom. a lot of tea and coffee in the room! the breakfasts are fab and meal first class, but intentionally how to eat makes their clothes shrink! all staff are friendly. friendly and very helpful. we can recommend it very much. thank you linda and jim.
We stopped for a quick lunch break from driving. The overall vibe in the bar is either quaint charming or tired depending on your viewpoint. However the welcome was warm and we picked a table and ordered beef burgers chips. We were delighted with our meals the chips were golden crispy, the burger fresh and tasty, not too much salad slime like other chain burgers, they were delicious.

Overall a lovely location, tradional English pub in the heart of Wiltshire. Unfortunately we found the food okay, but not worth he £98 bill (with drinks). Sunday beef roast very small with very little veg and tiny yorkshire pudding. Fish over cooked and chips extremely dry. Probably a lovely say but food not worth the money. Friendly staff though. Welcome to our restaurant. We offer a great selection of beer for both new and regular customers. The staff are friendly and welcoming, even thanking us for returning to this traditional pub/restaurant. Although Ian and Pam may be missed, it appears that the restaurant is in good hands.
I had a wonderful evening catching up with friends. The atmosphere was lovely, and the people were friendly. The staff were also very helpful. Overall, I would rate the service and location both a perfect 5. One of the highlights of the hotel is its peaceful ambiance.
Disappointing to get to a pub to find that contrary to its published opening times it is in fact closed. Website states on a Fri open 12.00 23.00. Arrived at 16.20 to be told by a member of staff that they didn't start serving until 17.00. A journey wasted.

"The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Food and drinks offered high quality, especially the Sunday lunch. I would rate the service a perfect 5 out of 5, and the location deserves a solid 4. It's a great hotel feature that it's quite peaceful."
