Stayed one night and price was really cheap so I suppose I did get value for money but didn't return on second work trip and instead decided to pay nearly twice the amount somewhere else. I didn't like the quiet road down to the hotel...and on arriving there deserted. The person on reception was however very friendly and professional. I was shown to my room which was adequate and appeared clean with towels on bed in a nice display. My door didn't feel very safe and I ended up placing one of the single beds across the door. The television control did not work and I managed to reach up to switch onto standby but couldn't get any channels. I didn't really want to venture out of my room so inste...
I cannot believe some of the negative reviews of this perfectly quaint, well positioned, well run establishment. It was a short walk from the Train Station which you could easily reach Edinburgh from and not too far from the bars and restaurants of Dunfermline. The...Hotel itself was clean, well decorated, well kept and very comfortable. It is managed by somebody who clearly cares about the business and its guests. The gentleman seems to run it completely by himself aside from a few other members of staff and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay......
Clean and tidy hotel room, the staff were also very nice and welcoming. The only down side is the walls are quite thin and could hear a lot of what was going on outside or in the rooms beside. The shower was awful, definitely need...to do something about that. Such a bad design. Overall you get what you pay for, so it’s not so bad if you think of that. Definitely room for improvements.
My husband and I stayed at the Auld mill thinking there was a restaurant as advertised. We had a hour drive to get there from our home only to find there was no restaurant we were very disappointed because we then had to find...somewhere to eat. The room was small but clean nice comfy bed breakfast was ok.

Had a fantastic weekend at the Auld Mill. Beautiful accommodation, excellent and friendly host, great bar prices. The breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be going again. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Allan and Brent
Stayed two nights here, very comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly, tea/coffee in room. Continental breakfast, good selection of cereals, cooked breakfast available if required. Lovely setting away from busy main road.
After another recent stay we can't recommend this hotel enough, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast fresh and cooked to order. Fantastic! We will be back soon.
Stayed for night. Hosts were delightful and very hospitable. Hearty big breakfast and reasonable bar prices. Close walking distance to shops and eateries. Would stay again

was here a while back service and food were terrible, toilets were flithy, some staff not nice which turned out to be the owners, wouldn't let my dog go there
I have stayed here a few times and there hasn't been an evening menu to be seen. I believe they no longer cook in the evenings.
