The soap bar holder is nearly impossible to lift a wet bar of soap from and it makes a nails on a chalkboard sound as you inevitably chase it around the countertop trying to lift the bar of soap."

One of those very wonderful experiences. Can only say great things about this resort hotel and our stay.Rooms and location overlooking the ocean provided a special atmosphere and mood setting feeling. Amenities were all close and mostly in house. Foods was good and service was second to none.And the entire staff added to our great experience. We will not stay anywhere else whenever in Parksville.Truly loved this hotel.11 out of 10Noteworthy details: See my notes above.You gotta stay here!
The hotel has been tastefully updated, while maintaining a very welcoming, small town vibe. It's an older hotel, but with the updates and the meticulous cleaning of the rooms and general areas, it is as good (or better than the big fancy hotel down the street. All staff were over and above kind/ hospitable, truly felt welcomed and as though they were happy to have us there. The restaurant was also incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Beautiful visit! Very beautiful hotel. Our ocean view room was wonderful. Comfortable beds, loved the balcony, the coffee was amazing and the toiletries were great.Jack at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. We just missed the opening of the new outdoor pool but can’t wait to try it when we return next year. The ocean is only a 2 minute walk, also very close to a paradise fun if you have children. Would definitely recommend this hotel :
Rooms are nicely renovated but have terrible noise insulation.Could hear the guests from upstairs walking around, and the coughs from guests from next door.The restaurant is hit and miss, for the prices I expected much better quality. (Do not order the avocado toast, it’s a single small slice of bread with wilted greens and less than fresh avocado.)Beautiful location, and the front desk staff are lovely.
