The restaurant had a usual menu. It was very busy on Sunday, but it did not have a French vibe. Waiting 36 minutes to order food for two was too long. The food was good, but it lacked that special something to make you want to come back. There were long gaps between courses. Don't expect quick table turnover. The coffee was too hot. The service seemed a bit impersonal for the size of the restaurant, and the staff didn't move very quickly.
We ordered a coffee and a muffin. While waiting for 10 mins we noticed that there were 4 tables dirty. Each time a staff member bought out with something, they went back empty handed. When our order came out, the coffee was good but the...muffin was stale. By the time we left after 1/2 hr, no table had been cleared and another 2 dirty tables on top., sorry won’t be back.
Although The Bean Shak is in a great location and has a very cute appearance, I must say, everything else is truly underwhelming. My beef burger contained a frozen patty which was dry and flatter than a pancake. Just a little love on the plate wouldn't go a stray.
Simple bacon and eggs done ok, coffee was fine. I can’t fault it but I wouldn’t praise it either. Atmosphere was cozy and nice. I guess this place just doesn’t really stand out when you consider the other breakfast options in the area. But overall...is was fine. Réservez une table maintenant
We waited over 40 minutes for a simple bacon and eggs breakfast. It seems that takeaways were much more important to them. When the breakfast came, we then had to go back into the takeaway queing system to receive our coffee that came with the...breakfast.
We went to this restaurant solely for their coffee cake. The coffee was decent and the cake was okay. However, the table and chairs were worn out and the entire place looked dirty. Overall, our experience was not great and we won't be returning.
I have enjoyed several morning coffees at this place. The quality is exceptional. It would be great if they opened earlier, but they clearly know what they are doing.
Lovely garden shaded setting. Food just ok, nothing special. $4.50 for a Lipton teabag, surely that’s a joke! Won’t be back. Réservez une table maintenant
