If you want great Fish and Chips, DON 'T go here!! Mind you on a beautiful winter 's day in February, in Margate, there wasn 't a lot to choose from to dine in. The Beano Cafe looks like something from the 70s, and looks like it hasn 't had a makeover since then. It 's very sad and grimy. But we had to give it a chance but wished we hadn 't. After reading some reviews off TripAdvisor, which a lot were not good, we decided to give it our opinion. The presentation was good, and that was the one star. The staff at Beano Cafe was extremely rude when we entered, as they demanded that we order our food before allowing our young child to use the restroom, despite him being in desperate need. While I understand that this may be the restaurant's policy, I was upset by the forceful manner in which we were treated by the waiter. This experience completely ruined our meal, and I have never encountered such rude and demanding customer service before. I will not be returning to Beano Cafe in the future.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The staff were awful and had no customer service skills. I highly recommend avoiding this place. Instead, you're better off going to Fish and Chips Atlantis for much better food and service. Don't let this restaurant ruin your day and don't waste your money here.
Had cod chips, really the worst eaten in the area, plus extremely over priced. Batter soggy and slimy fish skin left on the fish, few chips, which were undercooked. Also had saveloys, lukewarm, expensive and even the dogs turned up their noses at them.

We visited a traditional greasy spoon cafe that serves simple and inexpensive meals. We decided to have an all-day breakfast at The Beano, and were happy with the quality of the food, which was tasty, and the excellent service provided.
Only pleasant experience of being in Margate was this place. Unfortunately I'd have to return to the veritable cesspool that is Margate, with the toothless simpleton abusive locals. To come here again so unfortunately, we won't be back
Front stuff service so poor and unprofessional and rude.food is expensive but sea area is ok but behaviour is so disgusting. Food quantity is very bad. I come every year but no Moore this shop.
Man serving had a runny noise didn’t wipe it he then turned round and it must have fallen into food. Dirty doesn’t deserve the 5* rating. Gross

Don't even cross the threshold I would have given it no stars but I couldn't. The place needs bulldozing!!!
