I answered, it is tasteless and there is simply not enough food, we ordered a bowl chips to calm our hunger, no reduction was offered to the price, just an apology of our very good waitress that she did very best when in the opposite, they try the white...
This pub is simply exceptional as it manages to preserve its historical charm with features like inglenook fireplaces and old beams, while also catering to food lovers with a passion for freshly cooked cuisine. The Sunday roast we had, with pork and beef, was beautifully plated with high-quality meats, a variety of vegetables, and delicious roast potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection and served by a friendly young staff. It's a pity that I waited over 30 years to revisit this pub, which was a beloved spot when I used to live and work in the area. Be sure to check out the garden as well, it's worth a visit!
We took a circular walk from the Lavington Common National Trust Car Park and stopped at The Black Horse Inn for lunch. We were thoroughly impressed by the pub, the friendly welcome, exceptional staff, and delicious food! I highly recommend giving it a try. We will definitely be returning. Beautiful pub with lovely terraced garden overlooking river at the back. Only two ales on but the T.E.A. was well kept (the other was Youngs Ordinary). An enjoyable stop for a drink in sunshine, food looked good too. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I celebrated my 70th birthday with a party of 15 people at this restaurant and everything was perfect. We had a great time and I would highly recommend the Crème Brûlée, Lemon Posset, Sticky Toffee Pudding, and Chargrilled Rumpsteak Burger.
