The Black Horse Inn

Arrived for a family meal celebrating my special birthday the staff were very friendly and accommodating right from the start which carried through to our meal. We are in the restaurant and cannot fault it lovely food, beautifully presented and decent portions we had starters and main courses (a mixture of the normal and a la carte menus) and had no room (unfortunately) for dessert. Have recommended to friends already and will be back.

Excellent dining experience and service. We gathered as a family and thoroughly enjoyed the very affordable festive three-course lunch. The only downside was the mulled wine trifle, which consisted of a peculiar gel with hard nuts on the bottom, and it was missing the sponge fingers, fruit, and custard. However, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would love to return!

what a little jewel of an inn! We wish we had found you earlier. the soup was from this world and the lincolnshire Scotch-Ei was divine. like the steak and lamb street dinner. we enjoyed every second Sunday afternoon with them today. the young waiter james was exceptional, so please pass on our comments. we're coming back. I don't want to.

A classic English inn with ales that can only be found here. It's located atop a hill in a village near Brighouse which in turn is close to Leeds in Yorkshire, England. Nothing exceptional beyond its location history. But it's worth the experience. Also, one of the most expensive bills I've paid for outside India.

What a beautiful pub! I was looking for an alternative meeting spot instead of the train station, and this place was perfect. The atmosphere is welcoming, the decor is charming, and the food and service were exceptional. I would highly recommend this place!

Had a fabulous Mother’s Day lunch, excellent food, drinks and staff. Was lovely to be remembered from our wedding held here in 2010. Highly recommended, thanks Jane, Andrew, Lydia and staff.

The best ale house in the area! It's a welcoming spot for everyone, including walkers, bikers, families with kids, and dogs. If you're a fan of real ale, this is definitely the place to be.
